Hello Aspirant!

Mop up round is the last round of counselling in which the left over seats are assigned to the candidates ( this also includes upgradation ). The left over seats include the state quota seats as well as the  All India Quota seats that are converted to state quota. Mop up round takes place in offline mode ie, manually.

Hello,

Mop up round is a round or a list basically that comes out after all the rounds are done. MBBS Mop-Up round is the process of counselling of seat allotment in medical colleges by states against the reverted seats from All India 15% quota. Candidates who are qualified but do not get any seat in round 1 and round 2 they are automatically eligible for MBBS Mop-Up round. Candidate has to fill separate form for this round. The dates will display at the time of counselling. The state council gives the students a date up to which the students can leave their seat without paying a fine. Once you are allotted a seat in mop up round, you cant leave.

I hope  this helps.

Hello aspirant,

Mop up round is a round or a list basically that comes out after all the rounds are done.

It is for filling all the vacant seats that have been left out after the rounds. Sometimes students leave their seats due to some reasons and the seats become vacant. The state council gives the students a date up to which the students can leave their seat without paying a fine. So the seats that remain empty are allotted to students. There are very few seats like that. So it's basically a round to wind up all the seats and finish the counselling. Once you are allotted a seat in mop up round, you can't leave it. You have to take admission in it.

Mop Up Round is probaby last step of NEET admission counselling process. It is actually the process in which the seats which remains vacant after 1st and 2nd counselling rounds are filled.

Eligible candidates have to submit fresh choices and result will be processed as per choice and merit.

This gives a better chance to claim a gov't seat even if your marks are a bit lower than actual state cutoff.
