What is MRM in MBA? Is it similar or different from MBA? If so, what are the kep aspects of it? Is MRM beneficial? What are the career prospects of it?
Hello Aspirant,
I assume by MRM it might be Master of Research in Management. This field of study deals with research methodology in business. It trains you to do qualitative and quantitative research in business. Other wise it can be a specialization area in MBA focused on research. It can also mean market research. Market research is again a specialization under MBA , it can also be be available as a masters degree, Masters in Marketing Management (MMR). Market research may include mathematics, statistics, sociology, psychology and so on. The salary after a masters degree may range between 20-30K per month but with a doctoral degree it can go up to 50-80K a month . It will also depend on the organization you work for. But the chanllenges in this field are cutthroat competition, work pressure due to demand in accuracy, constant need to update your knowledge and skills and monotonous nature of work due to paperwork . On the positive side, it is a fast growing job area and there is a huge scope for innovation if you are smart enough. Moreover, as you will be needed under all departments such as IT, Sales and Marketing, you experience will be wide. Whether it is business research or market research below are some job roles you may work in :
Research Executive
Research Analyst
Operations Director
Fieldwork Manager
Statistician/ Data Processing Professional
