This is because,

Though you are doing BDS your highest qualification with all the three subjects i. e physics chemistry and Biology remains 10 + 2 .

While those who are doing bsc and have all the 3 i. e physics,chemistry and biology in bsc needs to choose code 5 and those who have completed bsc with at least any two out of physics,  chemistry and Biology in their bsc need to select code 6.

As you have mentioned that you are currently in BDS 1st year so your highest qualification for NEET will be class 12th/Intermediate so as per the rules the NEET qualification code which you should use is 2.

Because NEET Qualifying code 2 is used for those candidates whose highest qualification is class 12th passed.
