Hi,

NEST(National Entrance Screening Test) is conducted by NISER and UM-DAE CESB. The entrance exam is taken by the candidates seeking admission into the five year integrated M.SC program in the subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Basic Sciences and Mathematics at NISER Bhubaneshwar or UM-DAE CESB, Mumbai.

The exam pattern includes the questions from Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics of class 11 and class 12 level. Candidates need to do at least three sections in the entrance exam.

So, basically, you need to study Physics, Chemistry(Physical, Inorganic, Organic), Biology/Mathematics of both class 11 and class 12 to appear for the entrance exam. Candidates who have passed or appearing in class 12 with science stream are eligible for the exam. Candidates belonging to general category/OBC must have 60% marks in aggregate while reserved categories need 55% aggregate marks.
