Para Medical Courses are usually related to allied health care sector and these courses are just as useful and important and job oriented as the courses of MBBS, BDS or Nursing. These courses trains the students into skilled allied health care workers and technicians and as i said they play a pivotal role in the health care industry for its smoother and efficient functioning.
There are 3 main types of Paramedical degree courses which a student can pursue after completion of Class 12 are -
1. Undergraduate Bachelor's Degree courses
2. Diploma Courses
3. Certificate courses
and the various type of Paramedical course subjects include :
-Bachelor of Physiotherapy
-Bachelor of Occupational therapy
-B.Sc in OTT ( Operation Theatre Technology)
-B.Sc in Dialysis Technology
-B.Sc in Medical Lab Technology (MLT)
-B.Sc in Xray Technology
-B.Sc in Radiography
-B.Sc in Medical Imaging Technology
-B.Sc in Medical Record Technology
-B.Sc in Ophthalmic Technology
-B.Sc in Audiology and Speech Therapy
-B.Sc in Optometry
-B.Sc in Anaesthesia Technology
These courses mentioned above are usually 3years long. some also constitute of 3+1 year.
there are similar Diploma and Certificate course. However it will be helpful if a person has Biology in Class 11 and 12.
