NDA is conducted in offline mode with medium of language being English as well as Hindi.

It has two stages, first is written exam which consists of two papers.

Maths - 120 questions - 300 marks - 2hrs 30 mins

GAT - 150 questions - 600 marks - 2hrs 30 mins

GAT is further divided into the following part s:

English - 200 marks

General Knowledge consists of

• Physics - 100 marks
• Chemistry - 60 marks
• General Science - 40 marks
• History - 80 marks
• Geography - 80 marks
• Current Events - 40 marks

Negative marking is applicable here, one-third of mark is deducted for each wrong answer.

Next stage is Interview consisting of two test which is conducted in a span of four days.First one is OIR Test, PP and DT. Second is going through Group Testing Officers tasks, Psychology tests and conference. Both the stages of test account for 900 marks.

the pattern of NDA exam is:-

NDA exam is consist of  2 papers paper 1 is of 300 marks of Mathematics,no of question are 2.5 marks for correct answer of each question and 0.83 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Paper 2 is of 600 marks of  General Ability Test,no of questions are 150.200 marks are allotted to English and 400 marks in total are allotted to General Knowledge. 50 question will be from english and the other 100 questions are from general knowledge.4 marks will be given for every correct answer and 1.33 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

There will be break of half and hour or 1 hour between the paper 1 and paper 2.
