What is petroleum management all about?

As the name suggests, MBA in petroleum and energy management focuses upon the management of energy corporations. The curriculum of this specialization consists of a mix of conventional management disciplines like finance, marketing, operations, human resource management, along with focused studies on petroleum and energy sectors like refinery technology and economics, natural gas businesses, exploration and non-conventional energy.
Petroleum Management programme is a two year full time programme leading to MBA, internship included. Industries pertaining to oil (petroleum and fuel) and gas, renewable energy, and similar ones, hire postgraduates in this disciplines. The average course fees in India ranges between INR 1 and 3 lakh for the two-year programme. The average annual salary offered in this field ranges between INR 8 and 10 lakh.
Eligibility criteria to pursue MBA in petroleum management:Candidates must hold a degree in Bachelor of Engineering/Science/Commerce or in any other related discipline along with a good score in entrance tests held for PG programme held by the select state, central and private universities.
