what' is ph use of in our daily life
Dear student,
pH plays a very vital role directly or indirectly in our daily life. pH is present everywhere, it is in our body blood to the material we use in day to day life.
Almost every chemical reaction that happens within our body has effect of pH an it plays a very important role in the process.
Let us see below some existence of pH in our day to day life.
- It plays an important role in our digestive system.
- Tooth delay is related to it.
- Animals and plants contains acid.
- Soil has also pH measurement.
- Lactic acid gets accumulated in muscles and hence causing stifness and pain in muscles.
I hope this answer helps you.
All the very best!!
Dear candidate,
pH ( potential of hydrogen or power of hydrogen) is a measure of how acidic/basic. The range goes from 0 to 14, with 7 being neutral. pH of less than 7 indicate acidity and a pH of greater than 7 indicates basicity.
pH = - log [H 3 O + ]
There are many role of pH in daily life like
- In our digestive system :- In the stomach, hydrochloric (HCL) acid is secreted as food enters the stomach. It turns the pH of the stomach between 1 and 3.
- Acid cause tooth decay :- Tooth decay starts when the pH of acid formed in the mouth falls below 5.5 .
- pH of soil :- The ideal pH for the growth of plants is 6.3 to 7.3 which will be responsible for the good growth of plants
- Existence of living beings :- In the human body, all the physiological reactions take place in the pH of 7-7.8.
- pH of blood :- Human blood has a pH range of 7.0 to 7.8 and if the pH of blood changes more than this range (7.0 to 7.8) then the body fails to function well.
Good luck :)
