1) The placements have been good so far. Last year it was around 89% with the highest package being 40LPA. Companies like MICROSOFT, HSBC, JPMC, Delloite, Schneider, HAVELLS, etc. visited the campus to boost up the placements. The placement at any college depends on how much deserving you are. .

2) Placement is 100% for computer Science. For other branches, the placement is not as good as Computer Science.

3) Placements offered here are worth the money you put here. Placements are average for computer science branch and the packages offered were around 8 lacs per annum which is quite good for a private college.

4)Thapar is a reputed college, and is renowned for it's placements, as most of the students here get placed ( 95-100% ). The highest package has been of 38 Lacs and the lowest is 3.5 Lacs per annum. Companies like D. E. SHAW usually visits thapar for the recruitment of new talents and brains. There is a special placement cell in the college and the students starts getting internships in the 5th semester only, on the basis of their knowledge in their respective streams. So, overall it's a good college, if judged on the basis of placements.
