What is polarisation in optical physics??
Answer (1)
Hello
Polarization is a property applying to transverse waves that specifies the geometrical orientation of the oscillations. ... In linear polarization, the fields oscillate in a single direction. In circular or elliptical polarization, the fields rotate at a constant rate in a plane as the wave travel, Light in the form of a plane wave in space is said to be linearly polarized. Light is a transverse electromagnetic wave, but natural light is generally unpolarized, all planes of propagation being equally probable.
