Poly means many technique is technique when you learn about what are & how

many technique to do that thing. Polytechnic is the 12th level technical course. This

course is a highly professional and job oriented course. Polytechnic is a Technical

Education of Engineering or DIPLOMA IN ENGINEERING courses which is focused

on practical and skill oriented training.one of the best skill development course. One

can join Polytechnic after 10th or 12th standard. You can become JE, loco pilot,

machine operator and you will be also eligible for all jobs of interleave.

Polytechnic is a three-year course, and you will have further options to choose your

field of study according to your interest.

Advantages of polytechnic——

 You have a technical certificate

 Immediate job will get you on basis of Polytechnic

 You will junior engineer and can apply in JE,loco pilot, technical assistant

and many more post in govt. Job and PSU

 It's equivalent to intermediate

How to get Admission in Polytechnic Institute?

 Polytechnic institutes are both privately operated and government aided.

Based on the institutes the admission criteria may vary. Many polytechnic

institutes conduct entrance test for admission. The minimum eligibility criterion

to appear in the test is matriculation. Some institutes offer admission on the

basis of first come first serve. Tuition fee also vary from institute to institute. It

is generally seen that government aided institutes have lower fee than private

institutes.

Career Scope in Polytechnic

There are many career opportunities available to you in government sector or private

sector after completing polytechnic course. Some companies even prefer to recruit

polytechnic students rather than engineering students. Students can also get lateral

entry in BTech (2 nd  year) after successfully completing diploma course.

In government sector the opportunities available are:

1. Indian railway

2. BHEL

3. Airport Authority of India

4. Power grid

5. Electricity department

In private sector you can get the job at the companies like Bombay Dyeing, Maruti

Suzuki, Tata Motors, HCL, Infosys, Siemens etc. related to your field. At entry level

in these companies you can earn approx. 10,000 INR. Polytechnic Engineers work

as product developer, service engineer, assistant designer, analysts, junior engineer,

executive etc. You can also work as lab assistant at college. There are also excellent

career opportunities in the gulf countries for polytechnic engineers
