To apply for the certificate, the applicant has to :

1. Buy an Rs. 20 Stamp Paper
2. Procure an affidavit from the Notary Advocate
3. Attach the required documents signed by either the parent or guardian
4. Submit to the VAO
5. Consequently, from VAO, it is passed on to the RI and finally to the Tahsildar

To apply for the certificate offline, the applicant has to:

1. Visit any nearby Tehsil office, SDM office or Revenue office to collect the required application form.
2. File an application for a caste certificate.
3. Specify migration from the home state in case of shifting.
4. Obtain a blood relative’s caste certificate, if the father is deceased.
5. Sign the self-attestation part.
6. Affix a passport size photograph and submit for verification.

To apply for the OBC certificate online, the applicant has to:

1. Visit the state’s social welfare portal.
2. Click on “apply for caste certificate”.
3. Create an account and fill the online application.
4. Submit the required data with proof.
5. After submitting, you will receive an application number which you can use to track the progress of the application.
6. Finally, after the verification, download the caste certificate from the portal.

• In case of migration, appropriate documents from home state.
• For married women, caste certificate from before marriage + marriage certificate + name change proof.
• For Muslims, the registered Muslim Societies provides a certificate. The government accepts it.
