For example: You apply in any college for admission then they give you provisional letter for confirmation of seat by there side then you pay a fee for seat.

Provisional Seat Allotment implies that the admission is subjected to the fulfilment of the eligibility criteria and document verification. Your admission is not final until you fulfill the eligibility criteria specified and document verification at the institute level is successfully completed. After the seat allotment you have to report at the allotted institute with the requisite original document and photocopies of it. Your documents will be verified after which the admission process will be completed. If there are any discrepancies in the documents submitted, the information provided and non fulfilment of the eligibility criteria your admission will be cancelled even at this stage. So your admission will be provisional until the documents are verified and admission process is completed.
