Hi Student,

Pteridophytes are vascular plants (those having xylem and phloem tissues)  that reproduce using spores and do not produce flowers and seeds and hence are also known as cryptogams. They include ferns and horsetails and their body is well differentiated into roots, stem and leaves.

Some of them are used in handicrafts; petioles of certain ferns are used for making basketry and bracelets and they are also used to make dyes.

Hope it helps you.
