M. Sc. Embryology is a 2-years full-time course
Eligibility : B. Sc. with Reproduction Biology, Zoology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Physiology or Bioscience as one of the subjects from a recognized university with minimum 60% aggregate or equivalent.
Admission : Admissions are based on the rank obtained in entrance test conducted by the university.
Placement : Colleges/Universities do not provide placement assistance as such.
Career : With increase in the cases of infertility resulting in the rise of infertility clinics and hospitals, embryologists is a career in demand. However, despite the opportunities, embryology is yet to become an altogether independent profession but this is surely going to change in the coming years.
Salary : Salary maily depends on the skills of an individual and the clinic or hospital one is working for. Reputed hospitals provide a better pay package. The average salary for fresher's is mostly in the range of 15,000 INR to 25,000 INR. With 2-3 years of experience, it can go up to 35,000 INR to 60,000 INR in India. The salary may increase two-fold in developed countries.
