Reservation is a provision provided to a section of society or people who are oppressed and has not got the opportunities with the par to the upper and prosperous section of the society. India is an affirmative action system that provides representation for historically and currently disadvantaged groups in Indian society in education, employment, and politics.

Under reservation, some of the seats are reserved for those section of people, and others can not claim those seats.

The constitution and the government have provided it.
