Prisha, The Counselling for Medical Colleges happens at All India Level and State Level. Under All India Quota, All the 15% of All India Quota Seats except for Jammu and Kashmir, 100% Seats at Deemed and Central Universities, IP Quota seats in ESIC Colleges, Seats at AFMC , AIIMS and JIPMER are filled by DGHS. The 85% State Quota and Private Colleges are filled by the respective State Authorities. In case of UP, the DMET conducts UP State NEET Counselling. And for both AIQ and SQ Counsellings, there are 2 rounds and a mop up round. In Round 2, Candidates who haven't been allotted a seat in Round 1, Candidates who are not satisfied with allotments of Round 1 and fresh Registrations participate. In AIQ Mop up round, ESIC IP Quota and unfilled seats of 1st and 2nd rounds and seats of Deemed/Central Universities participate. For State Level Counselling, unfilled seats of 1st and 2nd rounds are filled. This is the norm every year.
