Hello aspirant,

RT PCR full form is Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction. It is a lab technique Joining RT of RNA into DNA. Also amplification of very specific DNA targets by using PCR. A specific RNA is measured by this.

This test is used to detect the presence of virus. The test will be analysing the genetic sequences like  SARS-COV-2 virus. Hence then the results will be positive.
