what is tcs. why tcs is reject a distance learning degree holder
Greetings!
TCS i.e.Tata Consultancy Services Limited is an Indian multinational information technology (IT) service and consulting company head quartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. It is a subsidiary of Tata Group and operates in 149 locations across 45 countries. It employs around 3 lakh people in 46 Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) carries out recruitment drives across reputed colleges in India to select the best and brightest young talent and offer them an opportunity to work with the company. And for many it is a dream to get hired in TCS.
Tcs doesn't accept distance education because they prefer a degree from a regular college over online or distance education. They think that distance education is still not a serious form of education. Actually they think that full time candidates are large number and they have good exposure and lots of learning experience compared distance course students , which is somewhere true.
Thankyou
Mode of education doesn't proves one's capability and knowledge. In the month of july I have applied for position in TCS with one of Payroll company. To clear the interview TCS took 3 rounds of interview. I have cleared all the interview and also received offer letter.
After which they have asked me to share all the documents and forced me to resign from my current organization.
After one month at the time of joining at TCS, they told me that they will onboard me once background verification is cleared. I waited for entire one week in the hope that once background varification is cleared they will onboard me.
After one week they told me that your background verification did not got cleared because of the university, they are not accepting candidates from PTU.
Now I'm jobless just because of there so called rules and regulations. Hunting for some other opportunity.
They do not care about ones knowledge, experience and career.
If I was not capable for the position in TCS, then I would have failed to clear the atleast any one round of interview.
Also the knowledge I got to perform my job in TCS is from certificates which I completed (Online & self study based) and from my work experience.
PTU University is UGC recognised and AITC approved University.
I also have same experience with TCS, cleared all rounds and submitted documents also then after background verification HR told me it's faild due to PTU comes under their non hiring zone. But this is all bull shit. I checked PTU website still I can find TCS is doing campus hiring in the affiliated colleges.
Moreover, HR is not sure what is the reason background verification failed when I asked couple of questions. As, I have done my MBA as distance mode from SMU so I was thinking may be that is the case even if that is the case then how come IBM has accepted my all education (PTU and SMU) . It's totly ridiculous whoever is nt accepting distance education because finally knowledge matters.
Such wasted of my time.
Education and learning capabilities was different from person to person, that' why good engineer are goes to out side of country.
If i rejected in technical round i don't have to sorrowful but they are rejected me because of my distance learning.
It is not a good behaviour even when you are cleared hr round.
what they learn in regular education can which we can't !
Even sometimes we are more educated than regular one, because doesn't have confidence, education, learning capabilities, technical knowledge as well as management.
TCS is Tata Consultancy Services. It is an Indian Multi National Company. Why it doesn't consider Distance Education is unknown. It only allows only internal distance programmes as valid. TCS requires a minimum of 16 years of regular education for being eligible for its openings.
