What is the admission procedure for Masters of Physiotherapy?

Master’s in Physiotherapy is a 2-year full-time program, imparted using a variety of teaching/ learning techniques, including lectures, case discussions, practical exercises, lab work, field visits, seminars, journal clubs, collaborative learning, group discussions, assignments, hands-on training, internship, and dissertation. The course follows the semester system. The mode of admission is an Entrance Examination which is conducted either on any of State, university, and national levels.
Aspiring candidates need to have a Bachelor's degree in any Health Science discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate. The average fees charged for the course in India ranges between INR 2 and 7 Lacs.
The admission is purely based on merit obtained in the common entrance examination conducted by institutes offering the course- both MS and MDS programs. Candidates qualifying the written examination are called for rounds of counselling and interview.
Selection of applicants is based on educational qualification, marks obtained in university exams/ any PG entrance exams, work experience, and performance in rounds of personal interview and group discussion.
Often, scholarships for pursuance of MPT are awarded to deserving and meritorious candidates, subject to availability of funds.
