Admission to NIT Surathkal's MCA program is based on performance in a mandatory entrance examination called NIMCET (National Institute of Technology MCA Entrance Examination). NIMCET is the NIT MCA Common Entrance Examination, a national-level exam administered by NIT for admission to the MCA program. The eligibility criteria for the MCA program are a bachelor’s degree in the relevant stream and a minimum CGPA of 6.5 in the 0-10 scale grading system and students who have scored a minimum of 60% in their aggregate score for all subjects in a public university exam.SC/ST candidates will get a relaxation of 5% in their aggregate.
