what is the admission procedure of iimc delhi?

Well when it comes to iimc , it is one of the best institutes in the world for mass communication and indeed the best in India. So, admission procedures are not gonna be easy, right. so first you will have to decide what course do you want to pursue. there are various courses in the institute, like hindi journalism, english journalism, ad and pr etc. S o admission procedures are simple. firstly, you will have to give a written exam. if you clear that you will be called for interview and then admission .
Iimc entrance is based on 2 types of evaluation.
- Written Entrance.
- Interview.
- If one is selected in the written test, she/he is called for the interview.
- There are 3 courses popular in IIMC Delhi.
- PG in Print Journalism (2 sections of English and Hindi)
- PG in Radio and Television
- Advertising and PR.
- In addition to that , there are courses like PG in Urdu Journalism, Odia Journalism (Dhenkanal Centre, Orissa).
- The basic plot for the journalism entrance is General Knowledge. All the 3 entrances of Print, Radio and Tv and ADPR will require thorough understanding of General Knowledge. To understand the question types, aspirations should download the previous years question papers available on the Internet. Understanding the question pattern is the most important part of the entrance. So download it.
- The college website should be regularly checked for dates and other information.
- For Print Journalism entrance Grammar part is also asked. So basic grammar like articles, preposition and verb agreements and other grammar should be grasped. In every question paper since the last 5 years they ask difference between words. Like affect and effect.

- RTV entrance may ask about an abstract question which will demand creative imputs. Following the previous question paper is enough.
If selected for the written, students will be called for interview. The interview ranges from general questions about world politics. Sometimes it may deviate into things like “what are your hobbies?” Questions about uour graduation course is usually asked. One must be able to relate that with journalism.
TIP- Be confident, read a lot of newspapers and magazines. Avoid any kind of coaching centres please. Everything is basic study. Go for it.
- Develop good command over english language in written format
- Maintain a good level of knowledge in current affairs and general knowledge
- Read newspapers daily.

- Develop your interview skills. Make your purpose for journalism clear, since it is asked almost in all interviews.
- Keep tab of data and it's source to write in your answers. Nothing impresses better than a data point in your answer as it is the hallmark of journalism.
