Agriculture is the science and process of farming & cultivation of plants, animals, fungi, medicinal plants, and other products for human usage and consumption. The demand for professionals in the agriculture sector is increasing day by day so as to have better yield and for applying modern agricultural practices.
You can do following courses related to agriculture after 12th -
• Diploma in Agriculture
• Diploma Courses in Agriculture and Allied Practices
• B.Sc in Agriculture
• B.Sc Agriculture and Food Business
• B.Sc in Forestry
• B.Sc in Animal Husbandry
• B.Sc in Genetic Plant Breeding
Eligibility-
qualify the 10+2 or equivalent exam with biology, mathematics and physics subjects from any recognized school or board.
Admission process-
Admission is either based on the entrance exam or on the basis of class 12th percentage.
Cut-offs where admission is based on merit-
In almost all Government colleges, admission in BSc. Agriculture happens directly through the marks of 12th of any student. For the general category, the required marks are above 90%, and for SC category the marks are between 85 -90% (it varies).
Apart from that, there are many Private colleges, that offers the course BSc. Agriculture. In Private colleges, there is no barrier to marks.

• Punjab Agricultural University CET (PAU CET)
