You can score very good in chemistry . Chemistry is the easiest subject in jee main. If your basic are strong in chemistry than you can score well. There are total 30 questions of chemistry out of which 12-13 are easiest . You can solve it easily if you know the theory very well. 10-11 are of moderate level . 6-7 are tough questions. Practice more questions and understand the rxns, mechanism, clear your basics, solve the numerical. The average in chemistry is around 55-60.
There is no specific cut off for JEE main in any subject...
You can score anything in one subject...
But compare to all other subjects, chemistry is so easy to score...
Prepare this books thoroughly....
use NCERT Chemistry for 11th and 12th as textbooks. You can also use Physical Chemistry by P. Bahadur, Organic Chemistry by Solomons, and Inorganic Chemistry by O. P. Tandon as textbooks. Use Numerical Chemistry by R. C. Mukherjee for problem exercises. These are best books that I have referred at my +2 level....
-All the best!!
the students who goes with theory preparation chemistry was the scoring subject than physics and mathematics because it has more direct bits jee total 360 marks divided as 120 each for every subject in chemistry out of 120 a student on a maximum scale score 95+
It is very difficult to tell you the exact figures and it also depends on the difficulty level of question paper and number of students appearing in the exam.
According to last year's paper analysis of jee mains,Chemistry was the easiest to score section and if a student who had completed ncert books thoroughly then he must have got atleast 80-90 marks easily. And this is the case in almost all previous year's question papers of jee mains.
So stick to ncert books and practice previous years questions to score around 90+ marks in jee mains chemistry.
Good luck.
