NIT Patna was established in the year 1886.

RANKING: It is ranked between 151-200 by NIRF in the year 2018. It is ranked 57 by EDU RAND in the year 2015.

FEE STRUCTURE:  The tution fee per semester is INR 62,500.

MODE OF ADMISSION: Admission to the institute is based on the JEE MAIN score and rank. Candidates with a minimum of 75% aggregate in 12th boards are eligible.

CUT OFF:

The opening rank (OR) and closing rank (CR) for computer science for round 1 are:

1. General: 9163 (OR) & 14265 (CR)

2. OBC: 7213 (OR) & 8299 (CR)

3. SC: 1393 (OR) & 2547 (CR)

3. ST: 1252 (OR) & 1651(CR)

PLACEMENTS: The highest placement in CSE in the year 2018 was INR 39.4 Lacs per annum and the average placement was INR 7.7 Lacs per annum. NIT Patna offers far better placements and infrastructure at its campus than any other NITs.
