Hello Kuldeep!

Hope you are preparing well for your future prospects and have a firm decision about your goal. Bachelor of Science is a 3-year undergraduate level course, divided into three main papers, wherein the colleges train students for established careers in many sectors, ranging from government based to private based. The course is fairly simple and designed to provide in-depth knowledge of that particular subject in which the candidate is undertaking the graduation. A minimum passing marks are the deciding factor to undertake this course. The course provides an incredible level of exposure in several scientific aspects of the subjects and thus enables the candidate to groom themselves in the right manner to gear for future endeavors. B. Tech or Bachelor in Technology is a 4-year undergraduate level course divided in eight semesters, with the duration of each semesters spanning to roughly six months. The course is designed to lay importance to the application part of the knowledge and thus lays stress on practice rather than theory. Candidates who are interested in undertaking this course have to appear in different entrance exams held both by the Central as well as State Government and also by different private based Institutes and Universities. The candidates must fulfill the eligibility criterion of different entrance exams after securing a decent score in their Higher Secondary Examination. For admission in a bachelor’s degree, the candidate must have passed the higher secondary school certificate (10+2) examination with science subjects such as biology, maths, and chemistry. For IITs, it is mandatory to qualify in the Joint Entrance Examinations (JEE Mains & Advanced). Presently, you need to focus on studying all the concepts well to attempt your competitive and board exams and score well to get admitted. Choose your course well in your admission based on your interest. The weak concepts must be revised again such that they may not hinder your mark-gaining strategy.

So, happy studying and good luck!

Hello Kuldeep,

Both are very different in terms of following:-

  1. Btech comes under professional degree course whereas Bsc Maths falls under professional course category. So if you wish early job go for Btech.
  2. In Btech, math subject is taught for 2 to 4 semesters only. However you cover a lot of topics of 3 years BSc program. But due to short term study (6month semester), deep knowledge may not be obtained. But on the other hand, in BSc every topic is covered in detail. So if you wish to go for a research program in Maths or related subject like applied mathematics , go for BSc.
  3. Being professional degree, Btech I very expensive program unless you got admission in government college. While BSc program cost is negligible in comparison with Btech one.

4. Btech program is very helpful for getting a job in short duration 4 year course while Bsc is a 3 year course after Bsc you should go for Msc .

Hope this helps you.
