Hello dear,
NCERT text books are the best to crack NEET.Personally I don't prefer and recommend so called standard books for NEET because they give you a lots of stress by providing a plethora of unrequired information at this level. In addition to books you also need to have a strategy to crack any competitive exam.
*Biology is the key asset to score good marks in neet because it doesn't take too much time during your exam. You have to score above 300 or more to gain safe score. That you can achieve by thorough reading of NCERT textbooks and you should revise it repeatedly to memorize them better. If your target is to achieve 650 or more you have to refer additional material like Akash materials or study materials provided in your institution. But the key is repeated revision.
*Chemistry is the next score boosting subject. It has 3 parts.
-For INORGANIC part NCERT textbooks are sufficient. For additional information you can use akash or your college study materials.
-For ORGANIC part, first give a reading from NCERT textbooks, then understand reaction mechanisms and memorize required reagents, reaction definitions and practice structures to memorize them better. Now start solving the exercises given in your study materials level wise (easy to hard).
You can use standard books like MS Chauhan and solve those problems. But for neet that is actually not so required as the standard of questions in neet will be easier.
- For physical chemistry, understand the class concepts well, then give a reading and memorize required formulas, and then start practicing as many topic related questions as possible from whichever book you have. But first try doing exercises given in akash or your college study materials. Try N Avasthi book which provides you lots of questions for practicing.
*Many Biology students find physics as a troublemaker but do not take to much stress preparing physics (if you are not a number loving person). Consistent practice will help you score good in physics.
First of all, understand the concepts well from your lecturers then give a reading and memorize required formulas and derivations. Then practice exercises given in your materials level wise.
Practice a lot of previous years papers to get an idea about the kind and standard of questions asked in neet.
Attempt mock tests to learn time management and get habituated to exam kind of feeling .
Hope you found this helpful.
All the best!
