See choosing any of the branch requires the knowledge about the college u are taking in admission and the rank of the branch in that college. If u are doing CSE from one of the college having depth in core branches then that won't be preferable for u as ultimately u have to get a job and that depends on the branch rank in the college u are studying.

Seeing about the highest packages u should be opting CSE but most of the private colleges and some of the govt one doesn't have that Depth in this branch.

So first of all plan out the college and then choose wisely the branch in which u want to pursue ur btech career to make a good job settlement.

Todays world trending branches for engineering is frist perfernce given to computer science engineering and second preference is given for electronic and communication engineering inwhich today these are the trending and good salary providing branches but it will not the same every time right so as my suggestion is considered only please take your own decision based on my suggestion
