In order to score good marks in your CAT exam you need to work on your basics.
After building your basics you need to solve complete mock test series and sectional mock tests. If you are weak in particular topic or section then it is recommended to solve as many as MCQs and sectional test.

if you are focusing for CAT-2018, you have plenty of time. You should immediately join a well renowned coaching centre, so that you will get a proper guidance in studies for you exam. Moreover, you should also start reading an english newspaper which will help you to enhance your english as well as your general knowledge.

There are almost 2-3 months left for CAT exam. Now you have less time for preparation. You can use soem of the tips for your preperation:
- Make a time table for each day left according to the syllabus and time.
- Make sure you are covering the important chapters first and then go for the easy one.
- Allocate more time for the subject which is weak for you and practice more.
- Try to solve previous year question papers with setting the time and analyze the results.
- Make charts of formulaes required for each subject.
- Revise each daily target before sleeping.
- You can prefer group study.
