Hello aspirant,

The minimum eligibility requirement for candidates in the UR, OBC-NCL, and EWS categories is 50% of the total marks or an equivalent grade in the qualifying test. Candidates who fall under the SC, ST, or PwBD categories must receive at least 45% of the possible points in their qualifying exam, or an equivalent grade.

Admission to Delhi University (DU) is based on a combination of academic performance and entrance exams, depending on the course. Here are the main criteria for undergraduate admissions:

1. **Merit-Based Admissions**: For most undergraduate programs, admissions are primarily merit-based, relying on the marks obtained in the Class 12 board examinations. Each course has a specific cutoff percentage, which varies annually based on the applicant pool and overall performance.

2. **Entrance Exams**: Some courses, like B. El. Ed, B. Sc (Hons) Mathematics, and others in professional fields, require candidates to take entrance examinations. The results of these exams play a significant role in the selection process.

3. **Reservation Policy**: DU follows the Government of India's reservation policy, which includes seats for Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD). This policy can affect the cutoff marks for different categories.

4. **Application Process**: Candidates must apply through the official DU admission portal, where they need to provide relevant academic details and supporting documents  .

hope this helps you!!
