If you are talking about the JEE main 2019 examination, then a student is not allowed to choose the date of the examination. You must give the examination on the date given to you by the JEE authority. The examination is however conducted twice a year i.e. in April and January. So, you can choose it with your convinience.

Hello kritijoneja ,thanks for asking this question on this platform,now I think you are asking about JEE main entrance so from 2019 JEE will be conducted by National testing agency twice in one year .and it is completely optional that in which phase would you like to give the exam .one can give either in any one phase or in both phase .the AIR will be determined with the best score of your exam .thanks
