Hi!
Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery (BVMS) is a medicine allied degree. As per the official notification dated February 22,2018 released by the Veterinary Council of India, candidates seeking admission in B.V.Sc. and AH courses through 15% All India Quota seats will have to compulsorily appear for NEET 2019. Admission to these 15% seats in UG course in Veterinary Science and Animal HUsbandry for 2019-20 session at recognized veterinary colleges will be on the basis of NEET 2019 merit list issued by NTA. These 15% seats will be filled through counselling conducted by Veterinary Council of India (VCI). The cut of 50th percentile for unreserved candidate, 40th percentile for students belonging to SC/ST category and 45th for UR-Physically Handicapped.
The above cut off includes all the courses of medical science including MBBS,BDS, AYUSH courses (Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy) and it also includes Veterinary sciences now . Therefore, to be eligible for applying into any college through All India quota for UR category, you have to have equal to or more than 50th percentile which was achieved at a score of 134 this year! If you have a score more than this, then you can apply for any college under AIQ.
The actual cut off which would mean the last candidate to get into the said college would only be released after thr counselling is completely over for the session 2019-20, which might be 3-4 months later. Till then, if you have officially qualified NEET, you should definitely apply for AIQ through concerned website. Dates of counselling would be released soon by the respective authorities. Hope this answers your query.
