While seat allotment under all India 15% quota demands a relatively higher score, the cut off marks for admission into government medical colleges under  85% state quota offers some relaxation in the cut offs. Nonetheless, I recommend that you go through the below mentioned scores and aim at achieving a better score, because cut off marks are always subject to change depending on the level of difficulty of the question paper.
If you seek admission under 85% QUOTA, the cut off scores for government colleges like
1) IPGMER, Nilratan sircar medical college, R.G Kar medical college and Medical college, kolkata your score should range between 510 and 570. These colleges are in high demand and cut offs go pretty high.
2) For Calcutta national medical college, college of medicine and sagore Dutta hospital, ESI PGIMSR and medical college, Joka you must score between 480 to 520 to gain admission into any of these colleges.
If you seek admission into any of these colleges under ALL INDIA 15% QUOTA, invariably your score should cross 560 because competition in All India category is very high and this year, cut off seat allotment went up dramatically higher than what was expected.

Hi Aaratrik!

These are the following government medical colleges in Kolkata and the cut-off ranks for admission in 2017 in Unreserved Category:
- Sagar Dutta Medical College & Hospital, Kolkata: 6368
- RG KAR Medical College, KOLKATA: 5670
- Nilratan Sirkar Medical College, KOLKATA: 5348
- ESIC PGIMSR, Joka, Kolkata: 6800
- Medical College, KOLKATA: 2042
- CN Medical College, KOLKATA: 4052

These may not be applicable for NEET 2018.
More than worrying about marks, you should focus on the preparation. Some tips for preparation are:
- BOOKS: Please follow the link: https://www.careers360.com/question-to-score-top-ranks-in-neet-which-book-should-be-preffered?icn=question-title-details&ici=topic-detail-page
- PAPERS: When you practice these papers, solve them in a mock exam format and analyse your papers after that, outlining strengths and weaknesses. These questions are seldom repeated, their main purpose is to develop time management skills. Check out the link: https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-sample-paper
- STUDY MANAGEMENT:
1) Skills: Everybody shows a diversity of study skills and tactics. To know how you learn best, consult you guidance counsellor in school
2) Habits: You need to figure out which duration of the day you attain your peak concentration levels and do the most difficult topics during that time. Study the other topics during other timings. Also, figure out which place is most ideal for you, clear of things you find distracting. 3) Planning: The old saying, "If you are failing to plan, then you're planning to fail" applies here as well. It saves a lot of time as you have an agenda of what you want to accomplish. Don't be disheartened if you are not able to complete one of the goals, no plan can be 100% perfect. I recommend, not to make rigid plans, keep it flexible
- MANAGING YOURSELF: Preparing for this exam is not an easy feat but it is a learning experience. You should also enjoy and keep yourself happy, otherwise a bitter attitude will take a toll on you late

Hope this answers your question
