Jadavpur University is a State University of West Bengal and thus the admission is done through WBJEE.
So, if you want to get into Jadavpur, first sit for WBJEE.
To get into JU, you need to get a rank under 1500, If you are going for Electronics, CSE, Mechanical, Civil, Instrumentation etc., then you need a very decent score, your rank should be under 600–700. But, if you want to get in IT, Power, Printing, Construction -etc then scoring under 1200–1500 will be enough.

Candidates must pass Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination in General Stream in regular class mode of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent examination from a recognized Council/Board with:
a) Individual pass mark in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. b) Minimum of 60% marks in abov e subjects taken together (45% forSC/ST/PWD/OBC-A/OBC-B candidates) having 60% marks in Mathematics (45% for SC/ST/PWD/OBC-A/OBC-B candidates) as well as pass in English with a minimum of 30% (for all categories of candidates) in the said qualifying examination.
