There is no minimum percentile (cutoff) required for SASTRA University, Thanjavur.
Your admission will be based on Class 12th aggregate percentage and marks obtained in JEE mains.
The formula goes like :
(Class 12th percentage x 0.75 + JEE (Mains) score x 0.25)
That means, out of a total of 165 marks, your marks will be calculated using this formula by the institute. And based on this marks, you will be provided a seat.
So, you need to score good marks in both - Class 12th and JEE (Mains).

Hope this answer will help you.
Admissions are provided to B.Tech./ 5-year Integrated M. Tech. programme under two streams. You are eligible to apply under both streams.
For stream 1 (70% of the seats), your admission will be based on Class 12th aggregate percentage and marks obtained in JEE mains. The formula I have mentioned above will be used and based on your marks out of 165, you will be given a SASTRA rank, depending on which you will be provided a seat.
So, if you think that you will get 80/165, then chances for getting CSE branch are not much high for you.
Getting 100+ out of 165 assures a 9/10 probability that you'll get a seat here.
But yes, you have got one more alternative. Coming to stream 2, you can apply for it and sit in the counseling process for the rest of 30% seats. Your normalized 10+2 level aggregate percentage is only considered here.
So, if the highest scorer has 97% aggregate in boards and you have 90% aggregate, your normalized % will be (90/97 x 100) = 92.78 %
If there's a vacancy in Stream 2, you may get a seat in the branch of your choice. So, you should attend the counselling for stream 2 even if you get admitted under Stream 1 to any other branch of lesser interest. That means you should apply for both streams.

Best wishes!
Admission in Sastra University for Stream 1 for 70% seats will be determined on the basis of JEE Mains score and normalized +2 marks. The weightage of JEE Mains and +2 marks are 25% and 75% respectively. On the basis of this a rank will be given to each student. And the admissions for 70% seats in Shastra University will be on the basis of these ranks.
