what is the deference between IT and CSE in Engineering
Hello,
The major difference between them is curriculum of IT is more software oriented while CSE covers both hardware and software.
IT is involved in the application of computing technology to real life processes whereas CSE is included in the science that promotes these applications.
As you know that both branches teach technology stuff but what exactly is in CSE and IT let's elaborate.
IT (Information Technology) :-
It is purely software engineering. Engineer who has done b.tech. in IT then it is assumed that he is well know with programming, software of system, networking, coding, android apps, websites.
CSE (Computer Science Engineering) :-
We can say it is a mixture of software as well as hardware programming. In whole 8 sem course you'll have to learn both software related subjects as well as hardware related subjects. And you only have to decide which stream am I choosing for my future and stick with it and do your best. A CSE student can get both hardware and software engineering jobs.

Hello dear student
The CSE And IT both are particularly same but some have also difference both of them. Please read this article I think you understand easily.
Computer science engineers (CSE) are involved in many perspectives of computing, from the design of microprocessors
PCs, supercomputers to circuit designing, and writing programs that power them.
Information Technology (IT) involves the use of computers and software to save
preserve the process, transmit, and securely recover data. IT professionals deliver a diversity of tasks that range from installing applications to designing complex computer networks and information databases , IT focus on software of the computers where CSE Focus on hardware of computers .

Hope that's helpful
Best of luck
Hi,
The difference between the two engineering branches is that Information Technology deals mainly deals with the business side of computers like database, business and accounting. CA programme deals with the microprocessors, writing a compiler etc. IT deals with the applications of technology while CSE deals with the science behind this technology.
