what is the definition of thermodynamics
Hi,
In the word thermodynamics therma stands for heat and dynamics stands for the change.
So we can define thermodynamics as -
"Thermodynamic is the branch of science which deals with the processes of energy and heat changes and their relationship with each other ."
Dear Aspirant,
Thermodynamics is the study of energy and heat. It is the branch of physics that deals with the relations between heat and other forms of energy (such as mechanical, electrical, or chemical energy), and, by extension, of the relationships between all forms of energy. It deals with the equivalence of heat and work and reaffirms the principle of conservation of energy.
Thermo - Heat, Dynamics - Motion/flow.
Hope this helps, thank you.
