There are certain demerits in a way, that if you completed your degree from that particular course, which is UGC unapproved, you may not get certain career benefits or may not be considered when applying for a job. You may not get better opportunities and your applications may get overshadowed by other candidates. So, UGC approved courses have a significant role to play.
