What is the derivative of a^2(and plz explain)

Hello Tejas,

Lets treat the function as y=a^2

Differentiating a function mainly depends on, with respect to what you are differentiating it.

Now in the above given example a^2, if you are differentiating wrt 'a' then the answer will be '2a'

If we are differentiating wrt another variable then generally in such cases 'a' is treated as constant. Hence in such cases the term a^2 will also be some constant. So here answer will be '0'
