what is the difference b/w bca and bsc? if they are different then how is this possible that I can do mca with any of both

BCA full form is Bachelor of Computer Applications. B.Sc stands for Bachelor of Science. BCA is application oriented course and B.Sc is concept oriented course. BCA deals with applications and technologies. It gives basic knowledge of programming languages. B.Sc gives idea about the concepts involved in designing or testing or executing the technology.
Students from Humanities, Arts, Science and Commerce stream can take up BCA course or B.Sc course. In the same way BA, B.Sc, BCA, B.E/B.Tech, B.Com students can take up MCA course. The eligibility to get admission into MCA course is that you must have minimum 50% in Undergraduation from any stream from a recognised University or College based on your category.
If you wish to do MCA then Undergraduation in BCA would be preferred. Because in MCA the subjects taught would be extention or related to BCA subjects.
