what is the difference between air pressure and atmospheric pressure
Hi Sideeq,
Air pressure is the pressure exerted by the air around us while Atmospheric pressure is the pressure exerted by the atmosphere on the earth. Air pressure is measured by tore gauge while atmospheric pressure is measured using mercury barometer.
Feel free to ask doubts in the Comment Section.
I hope this information helps you.
Good Luck!
1. Air pressure is the intrinsic pressure in a quantity of air while Atmospheric pressure is air pressure due solely to the weight of the air above you in the atmosphere.
2. Air pressure is variable but Atmospheric pressure is typically around 10^5 N/m^2 on Earth, but can vary with altitude and weather.
3. Air pressure is measured using a wire gauge while atmospheric pressure is measured using a mercury barometer.
4. Air pressure is not universal, it is not present in a vacuum while Atmospheric pressure is universal and is applicable everywhere.
