Good luck
Hello Adhi,
Both B.E. and B.Tech have more or less the same value in today’s world. Though these seem similar, they have quite a few differences. The prime difference, in terms of study, is the B.Tech emphasises more on practical application, while B.E. program concentrates more on the theoretical knowledge that is applied to develop equipment and gadgets in Science and Technology.
There are lots of streams available in both these fields that students can choose. But the orientation of these programs, as well as course materials, are quite different. However, in the current scenario, the name of degree doesn’t make difference if the institutions that offer B.Tech or B.E, are following AICTE (The All India Council for Technical Education) approved courses as the curriculum of AICTE is standard across all technical institutes.
Comparision: Both these engineering degrees have their own importance in the society. If a student wishes to join a field that is engaged in the manufacturing of hardware, then the B.E. field is more suitable for him. However, if a person wishes to join a field that makes hardware more efficient or attractive by modifying them, then the B.Tech course is more suitable.
Students can choose either of these fields on the basis of their interest, strengths and their future plans. But there are certain universities offering only a degree course in B.E. and some only B.Tech. So, a student may opt a particular degree on the basis of his/her preference for the colleges. At present no degree, B.E. or B.Tech is superior to the other.
Hope it helped you!!
Thank you
In terms of application, learning, curiculum and job opportunities, both B.E. and B.Tech are considered as equivalent and valid. The fact of the matter is that the name of the courses B.E. or B.Tech is determined by the choice any particular institute/universite applies for and what UGC/AICTE grants that institute. Except name, There is no difference in B.E. and B.Tech.
Good Luck!
