Hello Yuvaneswar,
(1)Let us start with the acronym.
BE stands for Bachelor of Engineering
B.TECH stands for Bachelor of Technology
(2)B.TECH course is more practical oriented whereas BE is more influenced in theoritical aspects.
BE deals with theoritical concepts and principal whereas B.TECH deals with application of these theoritical concepts.
(3)B.E. is considered as knowledge-oriented course and B. Tech is considered as skill-oriented course.
(4)As BE is more knowledge oriented, course curriculum is not updated that much frequently as in B.TECH which is technology oriented.
(5)In B.TECH industrial visits are mandatory part of the curriculum whereas in BE visits may be given more emphasis.
***Some additional information I want to share with you is as sollows:-
(1)Both degrees have equal recognition with equal scope and future. More precisely, it’s your college and branch that matters.
(2) If you are interested in research-oriented work and want to pursue higher studies then B.E. may be preferred over B. Tech. However, in the present situation, analysis shows that course content is almost same but the approach may be different.
(3) In India, duration of both the courses is 4 years
(4) Both courses follow semester pattern, with 2 semesters per year and a total of 8 semesters in 4 years.
(5) Orientation and approach of both the courses may be different but if we closely look into the course content then they are more or less the same.
(6) AICTE has clarified that it does not consider the two degrees as different and grants equal recognition to both.
Hope you find this answer useful and make choices accordingly.
All the best for your future endeavor.
