Hello dear student,
Here I will answer you based on my experience and on the basis of industries that work on biotechnology.
So if you opt for Bsc biotech then you have limited options. like just after BSc biotechnology you will not be able to get industrial exposure and you will not be able to get a high income job.
After BSc biotechnology you can opt for the higher studies which is MSc and then if you are interested to become professor or you want to become a researcher then you can opt for higher studies like PHD in India or outside India. For that you have to give few entrance test but that is a later event.
After doing your MSc or PhD you can try for the job in various companies but you need to have a minimum masters degree to get into a company.
Now if you will choose for BTech biotechnology then you can directly go into industry with handsome package on the basis of you bachelors of technology degree.
All the above information that I provided you for the BSc is applicable same in BTech also like you can go for higher studies which include mtech in this and then you can go for PHD for the same.
but the perk of doing BTech biotechnology is that you can get yourself into an industry with the minimum package of 3 lakh per annum to more while this is not the package that you get after doing BSc biotechnology.
I hope the information that I provided you here is helpful for you.
Thank you
