What is the difference between BSc(honours) Computer Science and BSc Computer Science ?
Hey Aspirant!!
Dear applicant although when you choose both the degrees they hold a good position as per Academics and career exposure. But an honours degree in Computer Science is a more specialised degree and a general degree computer science curriculum has no such specialization. You need to possess more marks for such specialization, and in case of General or Pass course the demand of marks remain quite low. Now Computer Science if you really wish to Study from your full dedication, then it is more preferable to go for the Hons degree over the General one as it delivers a generalized idea rather than specific as in Hons.
Good luck!!
Dear Rajesh,
See the course duration and the formation for comp sc UG degree is almost equal. But , as you know Honours subjects generally defines to study a subject in depth . In general degree you have to study the additional papers with comp sc with equal effort as this degree is general. But in hons degree , the topics present in the hons subjects are in more depth .If you want to be a Professor /researcher in Comp sc field and based on merit /Entrance marks .. if you're eligible to get hons , then go for it .
You can get more details about the subject from here :
