what is the difference between B.tech and B.tech (HONS) in CSE?
Hii..
B.Tech is your regular engineering degree with 8 semesters and some predesignated credits and subjects for your specialization. This is the degree that most colleges and universities offer.
But, some autonomous colleges and deemed universities offer a choice to take up some electives or extra courses apart from the regime ones. These courses can be about advanced subjects in your specialization, research, interdisciplinary studies, etc. You can take these as complementary courses during the same 8 semesters or also work on them during semester breaks or after the 4 years. If you successfully complete them, you get a B.Tech (honors) graduation because you have studied more than the regular syllabus.
Hope this helps.Thanks..!!
Hey Ankit Bajaj,
Coming to the pointsuppose you have chosen CS as your Btech stream .So in Btech you have to study all the subjects associated with your stream..like data structure, web application, computer peripherals & interfaces, data communication etc..But in Btech(hons) you have to study one specific subject and it's components in depth…..You can choose your subject according to your area of interest…. For example if you choose data communication as a specific subject for your Btech(hons) then you have to do detailed study of this subject and it's components in all semesters…..
Hope you got the answer of your question…
All the best!
