Hello!

B.Tech is actually an UG(undergraduate) degree which means Bachelor of Technology while M.Tech is a PG(post graduate) degree which means Master of Technology. A graduate of B.Tech is eligible to do M.Tech. In B.Tech, there is no specialisation in a particular subject whereas in M.Tech, there is specialisation in a particular subject. M.Tech focuses on research more than B.Tech.

B.Tech is a 4 years course while M.Tech is a 2 years course. Entrance exams for admission to B.Tech include JEE Main, State engineering entrance exams (APEAMCET, TS EAMCET, Odisha CET, WBJEE) , University based engineering entrance exams (VIT, KIIT, SRM, GITAM, etc). Entrance exams for admission to M.Tech include GATE, IPU CET, AP PGECET, BHU PET, TANCET, etc. In order to get admission in B.Tech, you need to pass 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks in PCM as main subjects while to get admission in M.Tech, you need to possess B.E or B.Tech degree from a recognised college or university with qualified score in entrance examination.

Hey!

B.Tech:-

The full form of B.Tech is Bachelor of Technology. In India, it is a popular undergraduate programme. A Bachelor of Technology degree is sometimes regarded as a stepping stone into the area of engineering. Depending on the country and the institution, the Btech programme lasts three to four years. In India, a bachelor's degree takes four years to complete, divided into eight semesters. Depending on the sort of institute and subject applied for, BTech course costs range from 1 to 4 lakh a year. As a B.Tech student, you can choose from a variety of specialisations.

M.Tech:- M.Tech is a two-year postgraduate engineering programme. Students are provided superior knowledge of technology throughout the course of two years. M.Tech. improves a candidate's skills and qualifies him or her as a specialist in a specific field. Candidates must pass the entrance examinations in order to be admitted to the M.Tech programme. Part-time and full-time M.Tech programmes are the most common. While the GATE exam is used for the majority of M.Tech admissions, some universities additionally conduct their own entrance exam or interview. Following a B.Tech with an M.Tech gives you extra time to obtain in-depth technical understanding and control over the subject. The M.Tech degree improves a person's professional qualifications while also establishing a strong social network.
