Hi,Seema!! CSE deals with the hardware-software interface, it deals with the technology to facilitate the applications used in IT.IT department mainly deals with the softwares and its applications.
now coming to your second question, which is better, CSE or IT? The answer to this question is both are good and demanding with respect to knowledge, technology and scope in higher studies. But if you consider placements, CSE currently is slightly better than IT .
