What is the difference between CAT and IIM in MBA?

CAT is a entrance exam and IIMs are top B-school you have to give CAT for taking admission in IIMs and you have to scored well also for getting call from IIMs and then you have to clear their GD/PI then they will give you admission . basically CAT entrance exam is the key of IIMs lock.

While , The Common Admission Test (CAT) is a computer based test held in India conducted by IIMs. The test scores a candidate on the bases of Quantitative Ability (QA) , Verbal Ability (VA) and Reading Comprehension (RC) Data Interpretation (DI) and Logical Reasoning (LR) . The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) started this exam and use the test for selecting students for their business administration programs. The test is conducted every year by one of the IIMs based on a policy of rotation.
