COMEDK stands for Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka Entrance Exam conduct own entrance test ( COMEDK Entrance Exam) every year for admission to Medical, Dental and Engineering Courses in Professional Colleges within the State of Karnataka.
KCET
They are similar examinations the only way they differ is that KCET is for colleges that have fee structure rounding to 36,000 to 40,000,it's requirement is that student must have studied atleast 8 years in Karnataka state and admission for CET colleges.
KCET is reserved only for students of Karnataka which means you should produce documents of your study of atleast 7 years in Karnataka or You parents must be from Karnataka.(Children of Armed Forces have exception)
COMEDK
However COMEDK is conducted excluvisely for private college admissons. One of the biggest drawback of this exam, is that the college fee is around 1,50,000, much higher compared to KEA. It is usually 4 times the fees of KCET.
COMEDK is open for All Indian Students but the fee is higher in COMEDK.
Exam pattern:
-180 Qns.
-No Negative Marking.
-Way easier than JEE or AIEEE
As mentioned above the rules are less stringent with COMEDK than KCET. But if all the criteria are satisfied, it would be way better to join a college through kcet than comedK since you would be shelling out a large fees amount and remember the hostel fees and the college trust fees are above this payment. And for students for whom the criteria is not satisfied, if your family can afford to pay the fees comedK would be better choice with less stringent rules.
COMEDK REGISTRATION NEET 2019
COMEDK exam was scheduled to be held on May 12th, 2019.
It's laste date to submit application form was April 21st, 2019.
COMEDK Counselling:
